Taiwan’s JustKitchen Leverages Technology to Optimize Operations | Taiwan News

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – Ghost kitchen operator specializing in delivery-only brands JustKitchen (JK) said Monday (August 8) that it is seeking to optimize its operations by continuing to develop its technology.

The company plans to continue investing in its JustKitchen operating system platform (JKOS), lightweight point-of-sale system (LPOS), franchise and food ordering application JustKitchen (JK App).

JKOS is an open application programming interface platform that connects internal and external services. It allows the company to link a new sales channel to B2B online ordering, in addition to allowing customers to place orders directly linked to JK’s LPOS and accounting system, eliminating the need for a third party or additional labor to perform billing functions.

The LPOS is designed for cloud kitchen operations, as the company seeks to replace all of its current point-of-sale systems with LPOS. The system connects major food delivery providers and serves as a platform to synchronize menu items, prices and specials. JK hopes its adoption of LPOS can lead to lower total point-of-sale costs, while streamlining revenue and reducing ordering errors.

Meanwhile, JustKitchen’s franchise system is better automating franchise sales, so franchisees can get on board faster and get their shadow kitchens up and running sooner. Even before onboarding, franchisees can use JK’s data tools to learn which kitchens and brands are best suited for their planned locations.

JustKitchen developed its JK app to reduce its reliance on third-party delivery services like Uber Eats and Foodpanda. Migrating customers to the JK app allows the company to save on third-party delivery commissions, in addition to gaining valuable customer data.

“Now is a great time to add new technologies and make improvements to our current proprietary stack. Technology, such as our JKOS platform, is a key success factor for JustKitchen and we want to continue investing in it as the main differentiator for the company,” said Jason Chen (陳星豪), Co-Founder and CEO. by JustKitchen.
