Smoke House reopens for the season
The Smoke House restaurant welcomes you back for the season starting today, May 6th.
Smoke House is currently open Sunday through Thursday from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. for dine-in and take-out.
Led by Mooring Executive Chef Jennifer Bachman and Sous Chef Regan Pardo De Zela, this season’s Smoke House menu will feature signature summer dishes with new additions that blend southern barbecue dishes with New York flavors. England.
Newport Restaurant Group has provided the following menu information for this season;
A range of inputs includes New England Clam Chowder; Homemade smoked tomato gazpacho; Deviled eggs with Crispy Bacon, Chili and Mayo; Smoked chicken wings served BBQ, Old Bay Rub or buffalo style with blue cheese or ranch dressing; Peel and eat prawns with Spicy Creole Sauce; Corn Pups: mini corn dogs, hot honey and mustard sauce; Lazy street corn with Garlic Mayonnaise, Chili Spice, Cotija, Cilantro, Lime and Tortilla Chips; Nachos, with house fries topped with cheddar cheese, pickled jalapeno, cilantro, avocado-lime sour cream and pico de gallo and a choice of pulled pork or vegetarian; and Smoke House Beer Cheese with spicy ground beef, amber beer, smoked Velveeta, sweet peppers and onions, and tortilla chips.
Salad choices include a classic Corner; a watermelon salad with Baby Arugula, Radish, Pickled Red Onion, Cotija Cheese and Basil-Balsamic Vinaigrette; and one Smoked beet salad with goat cheese, arugula, pecans, pickled onions and citrus vinaigrette. Guests can add beef brisket, fried green tomatoes, chicken salad, lobster salad, BBQ pulled pork and grilled salmon to any salad
Burgers and sandwiches include chimney smoke: twin 4 oz. beef patties topped with BBQ pulled pork, smoked gouda, beer-battered onion rings; BBQ Glazed Salmon with grilled pineapple, BBQ sauce, bacon, arugula and red onion; the Pig pen smoked pork butt sandwich, coleslaw, BBQ sauce on brioche bread; Signature New England Lobster Roll with Maine Lobster, Tarragon-Dill Vinaigrette and Celery on a Split Bun; Fried hot chicken with Crispy Chicken Breast, Shredded Lettuce, Pickled Onion, Hot Sauce and Garlic Mayo; Smoke House Dawgs with two RI natural casing hot dogs coated in Smoke House beer cheese; and Fried green tomato sandwich with roasted red pepper, grilled Portobello mushrooms and pesto mayonnaise.
Smoke House’s Southern Pride Smoker Slow Cook BBQ offerings include Baby back ribsa Half Chicken, Pulled Pork, Brisketand Smoked Turkey Leg; the Smokehouse Tasting includes two pork wings, four chicken wings and a half rack of ribs. All combo dishes are served with coleslaw and cornbread.
Side dishes include Red Bliss Potato Salad with celery, onion, egg, herbs and mayo; Smoked house salad with Ranch Dressing; Fries; Cheese macaroni with cornbread and bacon crumble; Coleslaw; corn bread and Watermelon.
Desserts include a Mississippi Mud Pie with cappuccino-chocolate mousse and whipped cream and Lime tart with a graham cracker crust and whipped cream.

Newport Restaurant Group will hold three hospitality job fairs this month to hire positions at The Mooring, 22 Bowen’s, Smoke House, Bar’ Cino and Castle Hill Inn in Newport, Foodlove Market in Middletown and The Boat House in Tiverton .
Tuesday, May 10and From 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. the public is invited to The Mooring located at One Sayer’s Wharf, Newport, to apply for positions at The Mooring, 22 Bowen’s, Smoke House, Bar’ Cino and Castle Hill Inn. Wednesday, May 18and From 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. the public is invited to the Boat House located at 227 Schooner Drive, Tiverton to apply for positions at the waterfront restaurant. Thursday, May 26and from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., the public is invited to the Foodlove Market located at 1037 Aquidneck Ave, Middletown, to apply for positions in the market. Candidates will be offered interviews and job offers the same day.
