FirstBank impacts its agent firstmonie with a loan of 100 billion naira

The Bank has been at the forefront of promoting financial inclusion in the country, impacting Nigerians regardless of their location across the country.

The Bank currently has over 120,000 Firstmonie agents spread across 772 local government areas in Nigeria.

The agent credit program was launched a year ago to allow its Firstmonie agents to expand their businesses, while benefiting from contributing to national development.

Barely a year after launching its agent credit program, First Bank of Nigeria Limited, Nigeria’s leading provider of financial inclusion services, announced that it had endowed its Firstmonie agents with 100 billion naira on economically. The Bank currently has more than 120,000 Firstmonie agents, located in 772 local communities across the country.

The agent credit program was created by the banking giant to promote and expand the business activities of its main agent banking platform – Firstmonie Agents – while putting them in the advantage of having a positive impact on their immediate environment.

Firstmonie agents have helped bridge the financial exclusion gap, providing convenient and easily accessible banking services, saving time and travel costs for people living in suburbs and remote environments who do not do not have access to financial services.

The Bank’s financial inclusion activities are in line with the mandate of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to ensure the availability of affordable financial products and services to all individuals and groups of people in the country, regardless of location. , literacy levels, familiarity with technology and accessibility to modern infrastructure. The Firstmonie Agent channel is one of the Bank’s many initiatives to expand financial access in the country.
