Brand donates 5% of profits from sales of Tractor products to support farmers

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., June 9, 2022 //PRNewswire// – Chipotle Mexican Grill (NYSE: CMG) today announced that its first seasonal drink, Watermelon Limeade, is available for a limited time at all restaurants in the United States and in Canada, with 5% of the profits from its sale of these beverages being donated to causes that support farmers.

A new seasonal flavor

Harvesting the classic taste of summer, Tractor Beverage Co.’s new farmer-created Watermelon Limeade features the crisp, refreshing flavor of sweet watermelon and real lime. Tractor’s Watermelon Limeade is made with all-natural ingredients, certified organic, non-GMO, and free of additives and preservatives.

Chipotle’s culinary team has teamed up with Tractor Beverage to create a watermelon lemonade recipe that complements Chipotle’s 53 Real Ingredients1. Watermelon Limeade builds on the success of Chipotle’s organic beverage program with Tractor, offering a new way for fans to experience their favorite order with seasonal flavors. In 2021, Chipotle leveraged its stage gate process to test Watermelon Limeade in Atlanta, Kansas City and Orange County, California before deciding on a launch strategy.

For a limited time, Watermelon Limeade joins Chipotle’s organic beverage lineup of Tractor’s Lemonade, Mandarin Agua Fresca and Berry Agua Fresca, which are available for dinner and takeout. Made exclusively for Chipotle, Tractor Beverage lemonade and black tea bottles are also available for dine-in, take-out and delivery.

Created by a farmer, serving farmers
