Carrie Underwood details her menu for the day of the show, her routine

Keep it clean! Carrie Underwood broke down what she eats before each performance as she walks her way Visit Denim and Strass.

“I usually eat these bars for breakfast. They can be different flavors, but they are raw, made with nut butter,” the 39-year-old singer said. Audacy recording Katie Neel Friday, June 10.

When it comes to her pre-show lunches, Underwood opts for more natural foods and a very specific vegetarian option.

“Lunches maybe ‘tu-non’, not tuna because I don’t eat [meat]”, she explained. “I eat all the time [some] lupine seeds. Hummus and vegetables are always on the menu.

the old american idol winner ends her day with two scrambled eggs and half an avocado for dinner. “It allows me to go through the show without feeling like I’ve eaten a lot of food,” Underwood continued.

The mother-of-two, who shares sons Isaiah, 7, and Jacob, 3, with her husband mike fishernoted that her show days are “very regimented” and that’s how she likes it.

“Every day of the show right before we go on, we’re going to hang out together, me and the band, we’re just laughing. I have such a good group. … Everyone is funny,” she added. “We hang around. We say a prayer and we go out and do our thing.

The “Jesus Take the Wheel” singer has spoken over the years about her healthy eating habits and her choice to cut meat when she was just 13 years old.

After growing up on a farm in Oklahoma, Underwood revealed in her May 2020 book Find Your Way: Honor Your Body, Fuel Your Soul, and Grow Stronger with Fit52 Life that she realized as a teenager that the meat came from the cows on the family property. That’s when she vowed to stop eating beef and started making her own food as a child.

“I was independent at 13, and when [my mother] served beef, I always made myself something else, like chicken and rice or Boca burgers,” she wrote. “I never started eating beef again and never will.”

The Grammy winner, however, has one big guilty pleasure she can’t avoid: cheese!

“I think corny things are my vice. I love cheese and anything with cheese in it,” Underwood said. E ! New Friday. “I try to indulge myself, but to be responsible. I don’t want to deprive myself of what I love the most. I try not to overdo it.
