Pasha serves Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine in a contemporary setting with options for everyone, including vegan, vegetarian, and kids’ menus.

The team will celebrate tonight (Thursday October 28) with belly dancing, raki and prosecco.

Pasha has come a long way since the start of the pandemic where they struggled as they were just a restaurant dinner.

Ozi Barak, owner and manager of Pasha, said: “Our business was not a take out service, it was always about having dinner there, so it was very difficult to stay open.

“We had to have a whole new system, we had to downsize, it was very difficult. I’m sure it’s the same with any other company in the same position. We had to change our way. to work, and it was a learning exercise. “

He said if it hadn’t been for the government loans and holidays they should have closed.

Barak spoke of receiving the award: “With everything that has happened (coronavirus), we are shocked that we won. We had a little bit of joy and everyone is happy, we are delighted. couldn’t believe we had won it.

“If you look at Pasha, we’re a little independent, we’re not glamorous, it’s all about our food, it’s not about spending a million pounds on a renovation, we can’t afford it.

“It’s really nice to be recognized. We have accomplished something and we will be recognized for it. We are still absorbing it.

“We obviously didn’t think we were going to win as we are not a full-scale restaurant, especially for Milton Keynes. There are around 400 other restaurants on Tripadvisor.”

Barak said it all depended on the customers, because “the customers voted for us, they are the ones we have to thank. In the last 18 months without our customers we wouldn’t be open. So we thank our customers more than anything else. ”
